Travel Guide│3-6 Days in Switzerland│Luxury Backpacking from Wengen to Meiringen

$30.00

Follow my footsteps on a crazy beautiful backpacking trip in Switzerland. You don't have to do any planning, just book and go.

This printable day by day guide is a "choose your own adventure" style, so you can adjust it to your pace, preferred length, and paths. It offers main paths with different difficulty levels and side quests if you haven't had enough hiking.

The luxury backpacking trip starts you in the Swiss town of Wengen and ends in Meiringen. It's designed to take four days at a moderate pace, but can be accomplished in three if you are a fast hiker (I took three days to accomplish this route). It can also easily turn into a longer trip by tacking on a day before the hike visiting Wengen, neighboring Lauterbrunnen and the valley of waterfalls. You can also split up the Day 4 quadrant up into two days, or tack on a day at the end of the hike in Meiringen to explore the area.

I recommend you buy an accompanying hiking map in addition to this one to make sure you have all the latest trail information. You can typically buy area maps in Wengen. This map was developed in early 2024 with the latest Swiss Topographical Data and my personal trail notes from 2019.

Difficulty: Upper beginner to advanced (includes possibility for a via ferrata)

Length: 3-6 days

Includes: Important mountain peaks, overlooks/photo opportunities, flexible accommodation locations, waterfalls, potable water sources, medical facilities, and pictures.

As soon as you purchase, you will receive a downloadable .zip file. You can choose which version works better for you and print it out for your Switzerland trip.
