Capturing things other people never notice.

My strongest quality is that I will go anywhere to get the story and I see beauty in the small things.

Agfa Selecta (film)

I was born with a camera in my hand. My parents would always get mad because I would use all the space on our point-and-shoot 12 megapixel Lumix camera. Those early photos were not great, but it paved the way to where I am today. In 2012, I got my first Nikon DSLR and I stood in the park at prom time to take photos for couples at $40 a session. A man had me put together his daughters volleyball video for college. That was the first person who believed in me.

I practiced and practiced and in 2019 it all changed for me. I was living in Switzerland and the landscape did not let me stop shooting. I think I filled up eight SD cards in six months.

I gained a bunch of commercial clients after that, shooting events like dance shows, stand up comedy, live culinary, and bands. 2020 wrecked the event scene so I turned back to nature photography and focused on beefing up my portfolio. I was always a huge hiker and outdoor enthusiast so I hiked and took pictures. That to me is still the most meditative thing in the world.

Now I’m an environmental researcher by day and an art designer by night. I work with businesses like hotels, working with architects and interior designers to create a space that clients are obsessed with. I shoot in the high alpine for fun, to connect with nature, and to create silent hiking videos. I also write about these places on my blog. The world is too loud, too busy, and research has found that even if you can’t get out into a forest or other green space, watching nature videos helps you feel happier.
